Buro Four has been appointed to carry out an options appraisal for chemicals company, Perstorp in Warrington. The client is looking to establish the various options in terms of bringing together offices, lab space and warehousing over the plots available to them.

Perstorp's vision is to bring together the workforce and facilities in a more coordinated manner to create a high quality workplace that improves communication and interaction and encourages a positive workplace culture as well as delivering a cost effective, adaptable and suitable environment for their staff.

The appraisal will look at the key factors including how the company currently works and how they would like to work; what space they are currently occupying and what space they will need; what services they need and the implications of getting services to each option; how each building needs to be operated and how people need to communicate; and what the cost implications are for each option. The most efficient and cost effective option can then be determined.

The Perstorp Group is a world leader in several sectors of the specialty chemicals market. Perstorp’s Warrington site consists of two plants, laboratory space, port cabin office space, an office building and a large warehouse spread across a large industrial site.
