Cabe is the government's advisor on architecture, urban design and public space. Barry Cook and Martin Long at Buro Four have just been elected as new Cabe enablers. The enabling service provides free advice and support to public sector clients commissioning new buildings, masterplans, urban frameworks, open space strategies and other public realm projects. Barry Cook heads our education team at Buro Four and has been involved in the briefing, design, planning and procurement of complex education, arts and mixed use projects. Recent work has been under the Building Schools for the Future, Primary Capital and DCSF Academies programmes. Martin Long is experienced as a client, having spent seven years prior to Buro Four with Stanhope PLC, working on a range of regeneration projects from inception to completion.
Clive Birch, Founding Director at Buro Four is one of the original first 10 Cabe enablers. Clive has enabled the PFI schools programme for West Sussex Council.
