Buro Four is acting as Design Manager for the Gardens by the Bay, Singapore project (Marina South). This is a £350 million project on a 54 hectare site on Singapore Marina front. The scheme is a combination of buildings, conservatories, structures and gardens.
It could be said to be the Asian equivalent of the Eden project and aims to be one of the most environmentally innovative schemes in the world.
The site as a whole is made up of Gardens at Marina South, Gardens at Marina East, and Gardens at Marina Centre across the mouth of the Singapore River. Through plant-based edutainment, horticultural displays, garden craftsmanship and floral artistry, Gardens by the Bay epitomises the National Parks' vision of creating a City in a Garden. The project will capture the essence of Singapore as the premier tropical Garden City with the perfect environment in which to live, work and help make Singapore become a leading global city of the 21st century.
Buro Four’s service includes design planning and programming, monitoring, design team organisation, procurement and consultation advice and general design team management.
